About the Role
The successful candidate will assist with the planning and implementation of sales and marketing strategies. The role involves working with business partners, travel agents, internal departments, and industry organizations to increase sales opportunities and strengthen the company’s presence in the local market.
The position also requires regular monitoring of bookings, market trends, competitor activity, and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Planning
- Assist with the timely planning and implementation of marketing strategies and programs.
- Help prepare marketing and sales materials for product launches and sales information.
- Support promotional and marketing campaigns designed to increase bookings.
Sales and Business Development
- Conduct sales visits to identify new business opportunities.
- Assist with agency booking activities and monitor agent performance.
- Work toward maximizing local sales volume.
- Develop and maintain relationships with travel agents and local business partners.
Booking and Market Analysis
- Use booking systems and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) on a daily basis to review bookings.
- Prepare daily and monthly booking analysis reports.
- Monitor market developments and competitor information.
- Use market insights to help update pricing and sales strategies.
Business Partnerships
- Assist in arranging commercial agreements with local business partners and retail travel agents.
- Support joint promotional and marketing campaigns.
- Maintain relationships with industry trade organizations and associations.
- Help increase and maintain the company’s exposure within the local market.
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with the Revenue Management team and other relevant departments.
- Support the development and implementation of group sales plans.
- Help establish efficient workflows between internal teams.
- Assist in managing internal and external customer expectations.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as required.
Education Requirements
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas:
- Marketing
- Communications
- Advertising
- Business or a related discipline
Experience Requirements
Candidates should have at least three years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the tourism or aviation industry.
Experience in travel-related marketing or communications is considered an advantage.
